About Mackenzie

Mackenzie Hurlbert is a New England horror writer who loves the big outdoors, small bookstores, and anything creepy-crawly. Her writing can be found in UNCHARTED, NOT ONE OF US, PYRE, and horror anthologies by Flame Tree Press, Shotgun Honey, and October Nights Press.

 

Mackenzie's fiction has been recognized by Uncharted’s Horror Challenge, Ellen Datlow’s Best Horror of the Year Recommendations, and Writer's Digest. She's also been fortunate to attend Western Connecticut State University's Dublin Residency, the Futurescapes Writers' Workshop, and the Eerie Elixir Writers Retreat.
